The only RPG worth playing on the appstore so far. Strongly inspired from the old Bards Tale, but with a convenient UI perfectly designed for our digital devices. The difficulty is slightly too steep here and there, involving a bit too much grinding at times, and the storyline could be richer, but overall its nicely designed, with a few old school enigmas to figure out (or to check on forums). Et flute, apres avoir tapé tout ca je mapercois que je viens de le taper en anglais.. Je ne saurais meme pas vous dire si le jeu est jouable en français dailleurs (je crois...). Jediterai quand j aurais un peu de temps.

Great game for lovers of old-school RPGs.

Superb game! reminds me of the "wizardry" series - in a good way

brought Bards Tale into the modern age without sacrifizing too much of the classic charm. Perfect for 87 hours of playing (for me)

Does a very good job of capturing the spirit of the old Bards Tale games.

A real throwback to the early 90s. Ive been enjoying the game though found the race choices limited and very much as narrow focused as 1st and 2nd AD&D were. Three human options is plenty boring, at that rate you might as well gone with half-elves and half-orcs, added a little spice to that dull porridge. Still a very nice find and I could imagine a sequel would only expand brilliantly on a good starting point. Ill have my wallet ready.

Ipad 2. Crashed every 5 minutes, even on low resolution.

I cannot remember when last I was addicted to such an extent. It makes one aware of the difference between a well thought out game and mere eye candy. It treads the perfect line between being challenging and frustrating. My only complaint is that the large manual is difficult to navigate. It would have been better to have had at least the option of PDF format. Cholmondoley

If you enjoyed the original bards tale series then buy this. I hesitated because the screenshots seemed bland but ive played this more than any other game ive downloaded. Great old school rpg style.

Developer did an amazing job making this game feel like the excellent Bards Tale series of games from ages ago. I thoroughly recommend this to anyone who enjoyed that series or who likes dungeon crawl RPGs of any style.

I have played this game since the lite version first came out and its a sin I have yet to review it. I never played Bards Tale but Silversword makes me wish I had!

This game was fun for old timely RPG fans. Crashed a lot at the beginning, but got better with time.

The more I play this game, the more I like it! Well done game! Hope they make a sequel or expansion.

I think Ive put about 60 hours into Silversword. Finished the main game but not the expansion. Such a great adventure and the Developer (Mario) is fantastic at listening to fans of the game. Almost too challenging at times but rarely dull, even while grinding. I dont think I ever listened to much of the audio during the game in hindsight. Looking forward to this mans next project.

Dungeon crawling at its best. A definite must if your are a fan of the old bard tales series.

For all of you that loved BARDS TALE, this is your app!! ANd, moreover.. did you know that is Keyboard compatible? i am actually playing with logitech ultraslim and is a beatiful way to play! TRY IT!! IT WORTH IT!!

A decent game for those already committed to RPG dungeon crawls. Ive enjoyed it but am probably walking away due to the redundancy and absence of characterization. Positives: -Challenging, in a well balanced way through most of the game. -Interesting mix of character traits, with non-combat traits often being important. -Interesting artwork for the enemies. Negatives: -Overpowered magic users with every other class eventually not mastering in combat. -Combat is extremely repetitive with too many random encounters and too little need for strategy. -Lots of walking. Critical places (aiming balls, rest and recovery) are far apart and you wind up trekking back and forth for no other reason. -NPC interactions are dull. No emotion. No humor. Makes the plot difficult to connect to. -Clunky interface, particularly once spellcasters have a hundred spells to search through.

Silversword brings D&D to life. The attention to detail and construct of the game are fantastic. Many hours of fun with clever twists to keep you on your toes.
