Silversword is an excellently made RPG that relies heavily on table top like game play rather than flashy graphics. The game is geared towards die hard RPG fans rather than casual gamers and as such can be rather challenging to darn near impossible if a player tries to Rambo through it, if one is careful and patient however then the game is a tad tricky at times but entirely doable and rewarding. If you like a good dungeon crawl and are sick of games that hold your hand then you should at least try the lite version of silversword

The game is nostalgic of all those old PC games that drove you nuts because they were awesome but too confusing to win. This game is challenging without being confusing. The developer, Mario, is incredibly active on the forums. You will not regret buying this game, even if you havent played those games like the original bards tale. Do yourself a favor and buy the compendium, too.

I have never played Bards Tale, but this is an excellent iOS game and isnt bogged down with unnecessary graphics or useless mechanics. Ive put in about 15 hours so far and the only complaint I have is the slightly clunky map interface but after a while the map isnt even used so bravo!

I love this game. Challenging, rewarding and lots of great info on the forums to help you explore the game world. Every fantasy adventure fan should try this. Classes are well represented and the expansions have been great!

This is a strategy adventure game. You build your party and plan your strategy and actually have to think. Although its a little old school (its based on a CRPG / dungeon crawl game called The Bards Tale from the 80s) its quite immersive, and you dont need to know anything about the Bards Tale to play (although you should have a basic understanding of D&D style games). This is a lot of fun and well worth the cost. When youre done, youll love it enough to buy the "Rise of the Dragons" expansion!

Amazing game . Its polished has full content , u can tell a lot of time and love was put into it . Wish more iPhone developers put effort in like this .

I used to play a similar 1st gen d&d game all the time... Great game, addicted!

This is just to let other blind users know that this game is not accessible with VoiceOver. It works, but the map just cannot be navigated without sight. I thought the game had potential, but I will have to pass. Too bad I spent money. Edit: I tested the app again and it’s still not useable for me. People should not say games are accessible to the blind when they’re not, especially if you have to pay.

Waited 30 years for someone to bring this back! Totally obsessive hours of fun and adventure. Great for the brain-therapeutic, keeping me sharp, and thinking two steps ahead when operating in the "real" world. Highly recommend! Thank you Mario! For bringing this back!

This game totally rocks. The designer really hit it on the head with mixing the old d n d with new tech while keeping it interesting. Played 6 hrs straight when first got it n chomping at the bit to play again n again. This is the SKYRIM of apps!

This is a great retro rpg experience. They held true to the style of games gone by like Bards Tale and Wizardry. This is a very enjoyable game if you are looking to relive the good old days of computer RPGs. I would love to see more games like this.

Great game if you love old school crpgs

Great game for RPG lovers, get back to youre roots but without slow worn out hardware and poor interface and step into Silversword light years ahead of the classics in terms of fluid smooth gameplay easy user interface. I really enjoyed this game and I believe you will as well, so grab youre sword throw on youre chain mail , ready youre spells and jump into action!!

A wonderful effort in a genre that has all but been abandoned

Excellent game! I use to play the original Bards Tale on the Commodore-64 and this game definitely takes me back to those days! Kudos!
